Well I am super sad right now. I just spent the last hour writing an amazing review for this book. Only to loose it when I went to copy to post on other sites. So here I am again to write another review for this book. Maybe it’ll be better than the original review or not. We never know since I can’t show you all the hard work I put into it. Anyways let talk a little more about this book. This is the fifth book in the Brides of Kindred Series and lucky us we got to meet the characters in previous books. We know that Nadiah is Sylvan’s cousin, who we met when Sylvan and Sophia went to his home world. We also know that Detective Rast was the man Sophia’s aunt hired to find her missing cousin Lauren. Now I do have to say that in order to get all of Nadiah and Rast’s story you gotta read the books that came before this one. Because it can not be read as a stand alone, mainly because the author does not write happy ending and leaves them. Instead we get to check up on the characters and see them in other books. But I think the reason for that is because these original characters are very important to the series plot. Now that we have talked about these characters and where we originally met them lets talk about the book a bit.
Some girls would love if they had two guys fighting for them but that is not the case for Nadiah, she would do anything to get away from the man that is intended for her. (aka arranged marriage) In order to be free, she must find a kindred male to be her champion to fight the blood bond between them. But a mistake of identity leaves her with Detective Rast, who live on Earth, to fight for her freedom. In order for Rest to save her, they must return to her home world and he must fight the blood bond. Can he get over his own issues and save her in time? Or will she be stuck with an abusive mate for the rest of her life?
Yeah totally not giving you spoilers. Like most book from Evangeline Anderson, I really enjoyed reading this book. Not only does it have aliens and smut but it is also full of drama. Reading Evangeline’s book is like starting a addiction. You can never get enough and that the end she leaves you begging for more. I can’t wait to see what else is going to happen in this series.
