Grav N’gol is many things. Murderer…ex-con…Alien half-breed…
And a Protector.
More than just a bodyguard, a Protector chooses a female to ward for life and swears an oath to die for her if necessary.

Enter Leah Roth. The luscious little Earth female is supposed to be just a quick surveillance gig for Grav. He’ll check on her and report back that she’s okay—it should be easy.

Only she’s not okay.

When Grav sees Leah’s abusive husband hurting her, he swings into action. Before he knows it, he has Leah aboard his ship. When he’s given a dangerous and difficult mission, Leah volunteers to come along and help…and somehow Grav can’t say no.

But as much as he feels drawn to the lovely little human, Grav knows it can never be between them. For in his past lurks a bloody and savage secret that would turn even the most forgiving heart against him.

From his past and from his true nature Leah must be... Protected at all costs.

First I want to give a warning to the readers, this book does not start off on good footing. I have to call a trigger warning for certain parts of this book since it does talk about abuse. So please be careful when reading. This book is about an alien that was misunderstood and had to turn his life around. In the process, he becomes a protector and loses his ward. In order to live up to his oath, he must travel across the galaxy in order to get her back. Only to have an unexpected companion. The women he saved from her abusive human mate. This book as a lot of up and downs, but it kept me along for a ride.

Another Sci-fi Romance book review for you guys! I only have a few, I promise I have more reviews to come. Of course you guys are aware that I am a huge fan of Evangeline Anderson, especially her sci-fi books. Now this book is in a new series called the Alien Mate Index. It is similar to the Kindred Bride series but instead of the aliens having an agreement with Earth. They are secretly stealing and selling off the female population.

I loved Grav and Leah’s story so much, I love that Evangeline can make the characters feel so real, that their situations and lives can be relatable to the readers.(Even if it take place in space) Yes this book is a bit dark, and may not be suited for sensitive readers. But I think that if you can look past those trigger parts you can really enjoy this new alien sci-fi-fi book.
